Skin needling is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or Micro-needling.
Skin needling is one of the latest minimally invasive skin rejuvenating and anti-ageing treatments available, which increases the production of collagen and elastin (elastic fibres) in the deeper dermal layer, by causing controlled trauma with the micro fine needles and utilising the skin’s normal repair function. Collagen is an essential protein that helps keep your skin looking youthful, with a firm, smooth and stretchy texture. Skin needling is performed with adjustable needle depths for various areas and oscillation (speed) of delivery.
The benefits of skin needling are:
Skin rejuvenation, reduces enlarged pores, acne scaring, under eye dark circles, lines, wrinkles, sun damage, scarring, and premature ageing skin. Results of your skin rejuvenation may take up to 3 months to see. Some clients may experience some redness post treatment, which subsides within a few hours or possible up to 24 hours on rare occasions, dependent on your skin’s response, mineral make-up can be applied, if desired.
Optimum results
For optimum results 3–6 treatments at 4 weekly frequencies, in conjunction with microdermabrasion in-between treatments is recommended. Treatment courses are enhanced by the use of a home roller and a cosmeceutical corrective serum. Prior to the treatment your skin is prepared and numbing cream is applied. Post treatment, Red LED Light Therapy and regenerating collagen gel/serum is applied.

Different LED colours have various levels of depths to reach where needed. LED Light Therapy is used for an array of skin conditions: reducing sebum in the sebaceous glands (oil glands) by reducing the production of oil and eliminate acne-causing bacteria (great for teens).
LED Light Therapy is also commonly used for skin rejuvenation, eczema, fine lines & wrinkles, sensitive and inflammatory conditions i.e. rosacea and spider veins, along with preventing recurring cold sores from herpes simplex virus infection and helps with sun damage skin. Not suitable if taking Roaccutane, prescribed by a dermatologist. Microdermabrasion treatment can be an add-on to your facial ($35).
